As the time for a new medical approaches and we get a bit older I think there is a bit of concern in all of us. It is such an issue that now AOPA offers a special program for members much like its legal program. If you pay a fee, there are two levels, you can ask for assistance in dealing with medical questions and proceedures. Even individuals with medical questions can, under certain strict guidelines, be granted a special issuance, SI, that allows them to fly with proper medical follow ups.
