And thank you for joining Pilotchatter! When a member joins, they have a choice as to which profile type the would like to register as. Each type asks different types of questions relevant to that type. At this time, only one profile type is available upon registration. I could consolidate all the questions into one type, but I'm afraid much of the questions would go unanswered, and it would take too long to fill it all out. The goal of having different profile types is to consolidate and simplify the registration process. Most come from Facebook and certain fields are auto-populated from your profile there.
There could be a time in the future where a user can select additional profile types, but not right now. Based on the membership so far, I'm not sure developing that feature would not be useful right now. If I hear otherwise, I can look into doing that.
As always, suggestions are very welcome, and I look forward to continuing to build a great community.

Thanks Jason. Although I'd rather be a pilot, ATC is paying the bills these days, so that's the box I'll check.
